For more than 25 years, the Metro Detroit Youth Day has made sure that area students have access to scholarships to help them pay for college.
It’s an impressive record for MDYD, founder and chairman Ed Deeb and those deserving students. Since 1991, MDYD has awarded more than 1,200 scholarships to deserving students who submitted an application along with an essay to be considered.
In advance of the 35th annual Metro Detroit Youth Day, the Michigan Youth Appreciation Foundation is accepting scholarship applications for its 2017 award. The scholarship recipients will be recognized at the upcoming Metro Detroit Youth Day event. Students have until have until April 28 to apply.
Graduating high school students may apply for one of many scholarships from the Michigan Youth Appreciation Foundation. The Foundation will announce the scholarship recipients at the 35th annual Metro Detroit Youth Day event on Belle Isle Wednesday, July 12.
Students graduating from a public, parochial, private or charter school who have been accepted into a four year university or college or a two year community college program and have confirmed attendance for fall enrollment are eligible to apply for a MDYD scholarship.
