Looking for some fun – and educational – things to do this summer?
Check out Michigan State University’s Science Gallery Detroit summer programs schedule. The medley of free science-related events for metro Detroiters includes a film series, open labs and workshops.
The summer program series is part of Science Gallery Detroit’s and Michigan Science Center’s Summer of Science, which includes free admission to DEPTH and free general admission to Michigan Science Center.
In addition to its exhibition, DEPTH which explores humanity’s relationship to water through the lens of science and art, Science Gallery Detroit provides free programming to offer variety and enrichment to the exhibition’s theme.
Science Gallery Detroit is a new initiative featuring experiences aimed at 15-25 year olds that are connective, participative, surprising, and that blend art, science and technology.
“Our programming series brings to Detroit unique experiences that will surprise participants,” says Jeff Grabill, Science Gallery Detroit director and MSU associate provost for teaching, learning and technology. “The combination of art, science, and local talent will prove to be an enriching experience.”
