Have you missed the taste of Detroit’s various restaurants during COVID?
Well, here is your a chance to play catch up.
Detroit Black Restaurant Week (DBRW) will be back for a fourth year with 30 restaurants strong … and more still signing up. From April 9-18, and again August 20 – 29, Motown’s eateries will be making up for a year interrupted by a pandemic.
With the coronavirus intermittently causing restaurants to close every few months and several spots to shudder their doors permanently DBRW founder, Kwaku Osei-Bonsu, who is also co-owner of TinyDine, LLC, offers restaurants an opportunity to join the event no cost.
Despite the eagerness to shake off the setbacks of the past year, the businesses will still be taking COVID-based precautions. All restaurants will have menus online, curbside and contactless service, and reservations through exploretock.com.
There will also be digital events and some creative in-person events and an added focus on food trucks and caterers, which prior events have explored but not as in-depth.
“We have some amazing events covering the vegan lifestyle, collectible paraphernalia, special events, guest chef pop-ins, and much more,” says Osei-Bonsu.
