Dig in. That’s the message of Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan who issued a call for a volunteer snow brigade to clear the walkways and driveways of those who cannot this winter season.

If you or a family member is available to help for two hour intervals during the winter months, please email volunteer coordinator Nicole Simmons at simmons@detroitmi.gov to join the team.  You may be asked to bring a shovel or other supplies and provide your own transportation.

Heartwarming rewards include genuine smiles, gratitude and goodwill of your fellow neighbors.
