Covenant Community Care to celebrate achievements at annual breakfast May 10

A popular biblical scripture informs readers, “Faith without works is dead.”

The verse helps embody the continuous effort of Covenant Community Care, a network of metro Detroit health clinics that serve patients, guided by Christian charity principles.

Along with offering affordable treatment and referrals, including medical and dental support for individuals and families, the clinic’s doctors offer words of prayer for anyone requesting it. The “cares” component of Covenant’s work will be spotlighted at 8 a.m. Thursday, May 10 at University of Detroit Mercy Student Services Ballroom, at the school’s Livernois Avenue campus.

The annual, one-hour Covenant Community Care Breakfast and fundraiser invites clinic supporters to celebrate the organization’s ongoing achievements and its accomplishments since 2017.

“The event is a fundraiser, but we are not selling tickets and there is no obligation to donate,” says Dotti Sharp, Covenant Community Care board member. “As much as anything, we just want people to come learn more about Covenant’s mission and programs.”

Last year’s “Courage to Care” breakfast attracted almost 300 guests and featured remarks by Covenant Community Care CEO Paul Propson.
