Southwest Detroit Restaurant week ushers in Hispanic Heritage Month
A delicious tradition will return to the city Oct. 4 through Oct. 13 when the 2nd Annual Southwest Detroit Restaurant Week is expected to attract thousands from the metro area. Almost two-dozen Latin American eateries and bars will participate in the celebration presented by the Southwest Detroit Business Association (SDBA), representing recipes and dishes throughout Hispanic culture. The event helps observe Hispanic Heritage Month.
SDBA President Robert Dewaelsche hopes that many visitors will come out and enjoy Southwest Detroit’s authentic restaurants and taquerias and the 1,700 small businesses that add their own unique flavor to Detroit from its mercados, and bakeries to its merchants and specialty retailers.
