Comerica donates $5,000 to Hope Closet to help young women in need find a prom dress

Finding the perfect prom dress just got easier for many young women in need.

Comerica Bank has donated $5,000 to support Hope Closet, which for the past 15 years has helped high school women find just the right dress and accessories, absolutely free.

For the second consecutive year, the bank has also partnered with the local non-profit on its prom dress drive. Ten Comerica Bank locations across metro Detroit collected more than 800 new and gently used formal dresses during the Comerica Prom Dress Drive. During the presentation of the check at Comerica Bank Center in Detroit, volunteers from the bank loaded hundreds of colorful dresses on racks into trucks to be transported to Hope Closet.

The dresses and accessories will be available at the Hope Closet boutique, located at Royal Oak First United Methodist Church, April 14-21. You can get the address and map  information here.
