Small Shops: Downtown Detroit Market will feature unique small businesses

There are lots of great shops popping up all over Detroit and beginning this month holiday shoppers will be able to find more of them in one place at the Downtown Detroit Markets.

The temporary markets, open from mid-November to early January, will feature a variety of gift-worthy items from jewelry, clothing and custom treats to toboggans.

The holiday season is a critical time for Detroit’s small businesses, so TheHUB is encouraging everyone to get out and shop the Market.

The Downtown Detroit Markets will open at 1001 Woodward Avenue, Cadillac Square, and Capitol Park. Vendors include:

1001 Woodward

Cadillac Square

Capitol Park

The markets are sponsored by Bedrock and Quicken Loans. They’ll open November 17 (the tree lighting ceremony in Campus Martius is that evening). After that, they’ll run:

  • Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The markets will be closed both Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
