Detroit Department of Transportation brings back Fresh Wagon to Eastern Market

Detroit Department of Transportation brings back Fresh Wagon to Eastern Market

They say an apple a day keeps the doctor away, and eating farm-fresh foods is good for your overall health. Doing all of that and getting your veggies as well will be easier now with the re-launch of the Detroit Department of Transportation’s Fresh Wagon Route.

In September of 2016, DDOT launched its Fresh Wagon service providing direct, non-stop connections between residential neighborhoods in all City Council districts and Detroit’s Eastern Market with one round-trip every Saturday. The goal of this service is to offer riders better access to fresh food options in the city.

With spring’s arrival and the summer months fast approaching, DDOT, along with the Eastern Market and the Detroit Health Department, would like to reintroduce Fresh Wagon to residents so that they can take advantage of this unique service.

For more information you can find the schedule on DDOT’s webpage www.RideDetroitTransit.com

I would like to find out the cost of the bus ride, and find out how to sign up for the transportation.
