STARS Elite Training Center won first place in the “Small Group 12 and Over” category in the World of Dance Championship in July in Seacaucus, NJ. Located at 19600 Grand River, STARS Elite Training Center also took fifth place in the “Small Group 11 and Under Category,” competing against performers from throughout the country.
Led by Roslyn English, STARS (Students Taking Active Roles in Society) emphasizes not only choreography, but helping youth maximize their artistic, athletic and academic potential. Award-winning students gain character development and learn about perseverance to achieve, supporters of the program say.
STARS invites Detroit to join STARS youth, staff, and parents in celebrating their recent victory.
