Family fun is planned as part of the autumn Harvest in Palmer Park from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 29.
People for Palmer Park will host the annual Harvest Festival, featuring a pumpkin hunt, apple sampling, cider, grilled corn on the cob, activities and entertainment like Farmer John’s Barnyard Express show and petting zoo.
Admission to the event is free and includes a hayride through the park’s trails. The festival will begin at the Splash Park lot at Merrill Plaisance between Six Mile and Seven Mile Roads.
Named in honor of Sen. Thomas Palmer, Palmer Park’s land was donated to the city by the official during the late-1800’s.
