A University of Detroit Mercy administrator has been named a worldwide expert in risk and insurance.
Dr. Joseph G. Eisenhauer, dean of Detroit Mercy’s College of Business Administration, “holds first place for total citations per article with 84 citations, of which 69 are non-insurance, making him the top author based on citations appearing in non-insurance journals as well,” according to a recent study.
Titled “The Journal of Risk and Insurance: Authors of Influence,” the report was published in Risk Management and Insurance Review. S.W. Pottier, J. Xu, and J.D. Frederick. The study’s authors examined citations of research printed in the industry’s leading academic journal from 1989 through 2014.
“It’s gratifying to know that other scholars have found my research to be a valuable contribution to the professional literature,” Eisenhauer says. “This is just further evidence that our College of Business Administration has a broad impact on business research, generally.”
Throughout his career, Eisenhauer has published more than 100 research articles and reviews in scholarly journals. Other researchers have cited Eisenhauer’s work more than 1,800 times.
