Businesses are launching in Detroit left and right, much to the delight of citizens as well as entrepreneurs hungry for the city’s resurgence. Hatch Detroit, the non-profit that champions independent retail in Detroit, announced four finalists on Friday in the Comerica Hatch Detroit Contest. After community voting, finalists advance to a final round competing for $50,000 from Comerica Bank and over $200,000 in pro bono support from Hatch Detroit and partners. The finalists are Baobab Fare, Bar Botanica, Detroit Blows, and The Lip Bar.
